2 Layouts

Hello crafty peeps,

Today I have 2 layout shares, actually these layouts are meant to be the ones I share on the facebook page every Saturday... however I've been a little too busy over the past few weeks and needed something to fill in for my fortnightly blog post - so here they are :)

My first layout is using the Marion Smith's Nirvana collection - I had a few of these single sheets laying about so decided I would finally use a picture of my husband.

I am normally one of those people that will sit there and shift paper around the page for a good 10 minutes BUT surprising enough when you don't have much time to sort a page everything comes together so much quicker? It also helps not having too many papers to choose from & in this case just 1 page (front & reverse)!

List of supplies:

Nirvana papers x 2

Cogs

Staples

Metal filligrees

Burlap trim, jute & ribbon

Lindy Spray - Ghost Gargoyle White

Faith Pocock MDF Plain Shadow Box

I distressed the edges with a pair of scissors and added interest by tearing the paper and adding some of the paperline to fill up the gaps of the tears. And now that I am looking @ my page, I can see my ribbon piece is crooked - I shall go fix that up!!!

For my second layout I used one of the new Prima Releases - Tales of You and Me by Frank Garcia, this paper is so gorgeous but I found it to be quite busy.

This page is not my original one. I ended up turning the page over and using the other side. I am glad that I did! I rather this result then the earlier :)

Supplies:

Tales of You and Me Paper x 2

Faith Pocock MDF Maori words - Ataahua (Beautiful) Wahine (Girl)

Faith Pocock MDF - Plain Shadow Box

White Texture Paste & Stencil

Heavy White Gesso

Prima Vine & Pearl Strands

Jute twine

Paper cutouts

Filligrees

Ranger Spray - Coffee (I think)

Another quick layout completed. Next time I shall decorate my shadow box frames to match!

Hope to see you all next blog post, thanks for stopping by.
