Today I have the cover of a mini to share with you. I decided to do finnabair style and layer up some metals & bits n pieces. I enjoyed this process.
Unsure of my true intentions on the entire album, I prepped it all with black gesso including the edges of all the inner mini pages.
I added all my bits n pieces to the cover in a suitable but pleasing style that I liked. This included some metal filligrees, some tiles, metal keys, dry wall tape, lace, resin flowers & some wood pieces. I then painted over all them pieces with black gesso. After letting it sit to naturally nearly dry, I sprayed some lindy starburst sprays in Time Travel Teal & Rusty Lantern Lime.
This wasn't the look I intially wanted as I intended on using some Fabios with flat colours without the shimmer however after letting it sit for a little while it grew on me. Had I have used the flat colours I would of used some Lumiere paints in brown & gold to highlight areas.
Am I happy with it? I am still not sure. I shall see where the inner pages take me as to wether or not I make some changes to the cover.
Apart from the items listed above - I used Prima's Frank Garcia's Journal from his Hardware Memory Range - 5.5 x 7.5 Album.
