Hey Everyone, Well it's Wednesday down here in my part of the world. I am running a little late with my creative designer project for Faith Pocock Craft Studio. Life has just been so hectic lately that I find it hard to keep up!! Anyways, I have created a shabby chic dress form slash ornament slash shelf sitter. I have made one of these before and just loved how it turned out, so I decided I would take a few of the wooden spools and some of the unique little embellishments that I received in one of myprevious creative kits and get to work.
I started out with a couple of thick poster board die cuts from the Tim Holtz Sewing Room die; a wooden cotton spool; a wooden skewer and an old mini CD.
I roughened up the surface of the cd and add some patterned paper from Kaisercrafts Needle and Threads paper pad.
I also added some white opal Liquid Pearls by Ranger to the top of the dress form...
I then added some lace and pearl bead string. Once I had all this done I set it aside to allow the craft glue to dry and then set to work on the little spools. I painted two with some gesso and to the third I added some blue seam binding. and then began playing around with the placement of the flowers and embellies. Oh I almost forgot guys....I have attached some beads to the base as feet.
I finally settled on this arrangement and quickly hot glued it all down before I could change my mind.
Here are some close ups and I guess you could say the glamour shots!!
