Well guys today I am here to share with you all a little hanger I created for Faith Pocock Craft Studios. Earlier in the month, Faith sent out my design team kit and in it were all these fabulous metal hardware...I have corners, antique feet, box corners....OMG guys it was just over flowing with metallic goodness!! When I saw the gorgeous metal butterflies and keys I knew I just had to do something a little grungey and Tim Holtz-ey.... So here it is..
I have used a couple of mini Art Canvas's that I have mod podged some dictionary pages to. I then sprayed it with some Perfect Pearls Mist in Patina Blue and added a touch of tea dye distress ink to the edges.
Whilst I was waiting for all that to dry I thought I would see how the Perfect Pearls mist would go on the metals. So I gave them a few splatters and very quickly dried them off with my heat gun. I really didn't expect this to work...I actually thought that sprays would just rub off, but NO!! and look how cool the Butterfly turned out...I have to admit I was totally stoked with the look. Nice n grungey :)
To join the two canvas's together I have used some beading head pins and antique bronze jump rings.
I have used E6000 to attach the metal box corners and these corners are pretty malleable, so I gently bent them around the canvas corners and over lapped them at the back. I have used some of Tim Holtz Ideology papers to embellish with.
