Sewing Themed Shadow Box

G'day everyone and welcome to my first post for FPCSL. Today I wanted to share with you all my little sewing themed shadow box. This was a thrift store find a few months back and I have had it sitting here waiting for the perfect project. When I opened my creative designer kit from Faith and spotted the gorgeous little cotton reels and the tiny little birds I knew exactly what I was going to create.

I have used a mix of papers from Kaisercrafts Needle and Thread, along with some of the sewing emphemera from DCWV - The Haberdash Stack. I used the Tim Holtz Sewing Room die and decorated the dressform with some the gorgeous little paper flowers along with some of the flower stickpins.

My button card was created using a cut out from the DCWV paper pad and some buttons from stash. I topped it with some hand dyed seam binding and one of the resin baby cameo's that were in this months kit.

I layered these on top of a paper doily with some of the heart stickpins tucked in behind.

I have added some die cuts from Kaisercrafts Needle and Threads Collectibles and accompanied them with one of the gorgeous tiny litttle birds on top of the small cotton spools. The spools and birds are a brand new item to FPCSL and will be loaded on the site real soon so keep an eye out for them!! and I just had to use one of the wee little bottles that Faith stuck in my kit. These are just so tiny and so cute....perfect to hold a sprinkling of tiny seed beads. These are also new arrivals and will be loaded on the site VERY soon.
