Altered Paint Brush

Hey all,

Today I have a altered paint brush to share with you. I've actually done this a few weeks ago, so its nothing new. Both Christine and I altered one. I posted about Christine's straight to our facebook page. Unfortunately I don't have progress pictures but will explain the process just in case you've never done one and would like to try too!

The paint brush I brought was from Look Sharp Store in Hamilton. You get a few in a pack for $3 or $4. You can also pick some up from The Warehouse for around the same but you won't get the cheap pack with a wider brush. This brush is 2 inches wide. I gessoed my entire brush with Prima White Heavy Gesso. I then started adding my elements. I hot glued a piece of doiley around the upper of my paint brush. Some chipboard cogs that we laser cut. A couple random moulds from my stash, using Prima's Paper Clay and some Prima flowers. I then gessoed over my entire piece then sprayed in places using Lindys Tiffany Lou Blu. I dribbled the Tim Holtz espresso alcohol ink using a little bit of sprayed water to spread and dull the colour. I stopped when I was reasonably happy with the outcome. And here's the result :)

It really doesn't take that long to do one of these. It's a easy quick project. Next time I hope to share some layouts with you. I really haven't had a lot of time to craft lately and I tend to start alot of projects and don't finish them! Are you guilty of that too? Lol, I know I know...quite shocking really? Ah well, always another story to be told.

Next week - Christine has another special share using Prima's Mixed Media Book. Until then, take care.

Hugs, Faith
