Shabby Chic Styled Banner

Hey there crafty peeps and welcome to my crafty post for this week. Today I have this cute little banner to share with you all. This was an idea that hit me at 3am one morning when I just couldn't sleep and I had paper on my mind!! No, I didn't get up straight away to craft it, but started on it the very next day.

So here it is. Along with few steps on how I created it. First up I gathered all the scraps and bits n pieces from Prima Marketing's "Tales of You and Me" that I could find on my cluttered desk. I also added some of Faith's chipoard cuts to the mix. Along with some pretties from my stash.

I then set about making a cardstock template, which I cut from my Silhouette Cameo

I then traced out two of these onto some chipboard.

I painted my chipboard piece so that both sides to looked like the pic below. I have inked the edges with Distress inks in Aged Mahogony, Tea Dye and Walnut stain. I also traced out the banner shape onto the paper.

I then began messing around with all my supplies, striving to achieve what I could see in my minds eye.

I dry brushed a few paper flowers with some Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet Distress ink to blend in with the background papers.

So here is the finished banner!!!
