Shabby Chic Altered Artist Palette

Hey there crafters, welcome to my post for Faith Pocock Craft Studio Ltd. Today I have another altered art easel to share with you all. However, this time I have altered it using the Prima Marketing Debutante paper collection to create a unique piece of wall art complete with places to put a couple of little photos.

I received these Prima papers from Faith Pocock Craft Studio Ltd sometime last year and I loved them so much I just had to hoard them...that is till now. They have gone perfectly with this project. I don't have a great deal of process photo's as the project worked up rather quickly. I did give the wooden palette a couple of coats of white gesso. I traced the palette shape and then distressed all the edges and then inked them up with some Tim Holtz Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.

I have added some Cotton Candy Pink Lindy Stamp Gang Spray and some stencilling with Art Basics Modelling Paste - Opaque Matt

Once the modelling past was dry I adhered the paper to the palette base and then the began layering up all the lovely embellies...

and there you have it!! so quick and really so easy and now here are the glamour shots...

As always, please come join us on....
