Good morning crafty peeps,
Today I have a very quick share for you. If you're looking for a relatively easy effective project to make, then this is the project for you! Once all your supplies are gathered and the paint is dry, it'll take you 10- 15 mins tops to complete.
Any bottle, I used a 600ml milk bottle
Texture Crackle Paste (Prima Basics)
Mists or Sprays (Lindy's Stamp Gang)
Trim both beaded & hessian
Charm & or some embellishments
Photo - optional (Passport Size)
First of all I lightly coated the exterior of bottle with gesso. Dry. Over the top of that I added the texture paste. This is the longest process, it is better to leave overnight to dry however if you're impatient like me, you can heat gun & speed up this process. They say the crackles will be less if you do this? Personally I didn't find any difference. Just be careful to rest between a few heating periods - so that the bottle does not get too hot & crack!
Once the paste is dry, keep the heat carefully in place and the magic of the cracks will appear. I LOVE this effect. It creates the perfect textured surface.
Next, choose your coloured sprays… here you will see I mixed 3 colours, I made sure to dry each colour after spraying. I used distress ink and lightly sponged it into places of the bottle - you will see the darkness that this has added & the depth it has also given it.
Lastly, the fun part - embellish your bottle with trims, flowers, charms, photo & whatever else you want to add.
These altered bottles make great home decor pieces and you can mix and match different sized bottles to make the perfect arrangement.
Here's my little bottle - simple & easy!
Thanks for stopping by today. Hugs, Faith
