Hey all, I just wanted to pop in and share with you all a mixed media inspired tag I created.
I started with a large shipping tag that I backed with some thick chipboard for added sturdiness
I pulled out my handmade circle stencil and some modelling paste
and completely covered my tag
Once this dried I stamped down one edge with Jet Black Stazon and a large script stamp
I pulled out these three sprays from Lindy's Stamp Gang. They are Dark Chocolate Truffles; Tibetan Poppy Teal and Autumn Maple Crimson
Here is the first coat of Tibetan Poppy Teal
and the second and third coats.
Then I decided to spray it with some of the Autumn Maple Crimson and I thought Oh no I have ruined it!!. It went this mucky purple colour you see here. Unfortunately peoples this is where most of the process pics stop. I got busy trying to fix what I considered a hot mess.
This is what I ended up with....
In my efforts to salvage this tag I inked up the edge of the tag with more of the Jet Blac stazon and I splattered on some of the Dark Chocolate Truffles, which, once they dried, left gold splatters. This really helped to blend in all the metal embellishments from Faith Pocock Craft Studio Ltd.
