Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Today I want to share with you my latest project made for Faith Pocock Craft Studio Ltd. This layout is created with Prima's Cigar Box Secrets Collection and it is an A4 one. My first time creating this kind of layout. I have used a 12x12 sketch, but just resized it all to fit.I usually make 12x12 scrap book layouts but thought I would have a go at A4 and enjoyed working in the different dimensions ! For a beginner - not quite as daunting as 12x12 but still lots of space to play !!!
I started with a piece of black cardstock as my base and then layered with the spotted side of "Figurado" which I had ripped and distressed. I then tucked in some scraps from "Perfecto" and used my mini stapler to add some staples for some texture. I gave the page a quick white wash with some very diluted gesso and then added some random stamping, which you can see in the pic below.
Once this was all dry I began messing around with the layers. I have used two of the 4x6 journalling cards and leftovers from my previous projects. Yes I save all my little bits n pieces, you just never know when they will come in handy. I added some of the twine that came in the embellishment kit, which I had stiffened by rubbing a light coat of PVA glue into it. This enabled me to create my circle and keep its shape. I then added all those gorgeous prima flowers you see in the corner cluster and one of the 3D stickers.
To the left I have added some more leftover strips, a stamped butterfly, Tim Holtz Film Strip ribbon and another one of the 3D stickers. Here are few close ups on the details.
